Renua Energy completed a 48.40 kW DC rooftop solar pv installation in Malta, NY, working on behalf of Solect Energy at Lia Nissan Malta. This project marks our second collaboration with Solect Energy and continues a strong working relationship built on efficiency and execution.
The system consists of 88 modules and was completed in December 2025. Designed to support long-term energy savings and net metering capabilities, the installation helps offset electricity usage while contributing to the dealership’s sustainability efforts.

This project represents Renua Energy’s second job with Solect Energy, continuing a trusted partnership in delivering commercial solar solutions.
Lia Nissan Malta, like many dealerships, was looking for ways to reduce energy costs while improving long-term operational efficiency. With rising energy expenses and increasing interest in sustainability, solar became a practical solution. Net metering the building allowed the dealership to maximize the value of the system and offset ongoing electricity usage.
Reducing Energy Costs with a Fast, Efficient Solar Build
The primary goal of this project was straightforward: deliver a high-quality solar installation quickly and efficiently while maintaining cost control. The full construction timeline was targeted at approximately two weeks, with installation completed within 3–5 days.
Beyond speed, the system was designed to support cost reduction, improve energy independence, and align with broader sustainability initiatives. The project moved forward without major obstacles, allowing the team to stay on schedule and on budget from start to finish.
System Design, Equipment, and Integration Approach
Renua Energy implemented a streamlined and effective system design tailored to the site’s needs. The installation utilized Elite Solar modules paired with SolarEdge inverters, mounted using the Unirac EcoFoot 2+ racking system.
The system was engineered to tie directly into the building’s main electrical panel, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure. With no major site constraints or permitting challenges, the focus remained on executing a clean, efficient install using proven technology.
On-Site Installation, Safety, and Project Execution
The project was completed by a focused crew of four, allowing for tight coordination and efficient workflow. The inverter was piped directly into the electrical system, maintaining a clean and organized installation.
Renua worked closely with Solect Energy throughout the process to ensure smooth coordination with ongoing operations. Safety remained a priority at all times, with OSHA-compliant procedures in place, including designated rooftop work zones, material loading areas, and roof fencing.
The installation stayed on schedule and within budget, with no significant obstacles encountered during construction.

The completed system delivers 48.40 kW DC of clean solar energy, providing long-term value through reduced electricity costs and improved energy efficiency.
