Chatham Travel Lodge now sports two new electric vehicle charging stations to support up to four guest vehicles at a time.

Understanding the important shift in transportation that is occurring today and wanting to be prepared for future travelers and guests, the owner of this quaint lodge reached out to Renua Energy for assistance.

"We contacted Renua Energy after a reference from business colleagues in the lodging industry. Renua was attentive to our needs, communicated well throughout the process, and went above-and-beyond in several aspects of the project," commented the Lodge's owner, Shaukat Minhas.

While Renua faced a couple of challenges in the topology and geography of the site, the installation team worked with NYSEG to determine suitable changes that allowed the project to continue. "The end result," Mr. Minhas explained, "was a clean and professional installation of two dual-port charging stations."

Renua founder and president, Dave Byrne, commended his team for creative thinking and quality workmanship that saw the project completed on-schedule. "This site presented our team with several challenges that took experience and foresight to overcome. I'm pleased with the way our team worked with property ownership to bring these EV charging stations to the Lodge."

Located just off the Taconic Parkway at 598 State Route 295 in the town of Chatham, the Travel Lodge has served travelers along the Parkway and those looking to enjoy everything the Hudson Valley has to offer. The Lodge is conveniently located near the old town of Chatham and just a short drive from the Berkshires to the east and the City of Hudson to the west.

"I would highly recommend Renua Energy," Mr. Minhas concluded. "Their work was done quickly with minimal interruption to our business operations."

Jutta joined the Renua team about three years ago and has had a huge impact for our customers, assisting them in their development of solar projects in New York State. Despite unique challenges in our state, she has a successful track record of taking on the toughest community solar permitting opportunities and seeing them through final approvals--even if it takes two to three years! Renua awarded Jutta the coveted annual "Resilience Award" in 2023 for just that reason. With an architectural and construction background, she has exceptional attention to detail and is able to lead complex design efforts and work through numerous site constraints in order to bring our customers' project visions to reality. We're immensely grateful for Jutta's efforts over the past three years and will continue to cheer her on as she pushes through obstacles to advance our customers' community solar projects across New York State!
